There is so much choice for quick service meals on Epcot, it can be difficult to know where to choose, but one of our favourites is the Lotus Blossom Cafe in the China Pavilion. We try to share our quick service meals and snacks when visiting Epcot so we can sample more of what is on offer.
There is a good selection of Chinese food on offer at Lotus Blossom Cafe. It’s well signposted from the outside but you do have to walk past the Nine Dragons table service restaurant first.
Lotus Blossom Cafe is very shaded and cool which is often a lovely relief from the heat that Walt Disney World has to offer. You may think there isn’t a lot of seating in the restaurant, however as you order and turn to your right, you will find a good amount of tables to enjoy your meal.
We often use the Disney dining plan to order our meals. This means we get an entree and a drink for one quick service credit. Entrees are in the choice of Orange chicken with rice, Beef noodles, Spicy Sichuan chicken, Shrimp fried rice, Sesame chicken salad or vegetarian stir fry.
We often opt for the orange chicken pictured above. There is just the right amount of thick sticky sauce that is served with the generous portion of chicken and rice.

There is a general misunderstanding that you can’t get anything other than fried food at Walt Disney World, however this is far from the truth.
For the children’s meals, you can choose from sweet and sour chicken pictured above which also comes with a pot of sweet and sour sauce. I liked this touch to be able to add as much or as little as you want according to taste.
The other option in the children’s meal section is pot sticker and spring rolls. Abby has always opted for the sweet and sour chicken whilst taking advantage of the children’s quick service dining plan.

We never leave hungry when eating at the Lotus Blossom Cafe, but if you still have room after your meal, then you could opt for some ice cream which comes in Lychee or caramel ginger flavours. We tried the Lychee during one of our visits but it wasn’t to my taste.
We enjoyed Lotus Blossom Cafe so much on our first visit in 2014, that we made a special trip back in 2017, to be able to enjoy the orange chicken again. I can highly recommend a visit if you’re exploring Epcot or only have the chance to visit for one day and fancy something different.
