I don’t think I make any secret out of the fact that Magic Kingdom is my favourite Walt Disney World park. I love everything about it, the layout, theming, smells, attractions, even the size doesn’t put me off. It’s home to my favourite snacks including the Dole Whip Float and Le Fou’s Brew, and it was also the park where we first met Mickey Mouse during our first holiday to Walt Disney World. We have so many favourite Magic Kingdom attractions, it’s going to be difficult to pick five, however I’ll give it a good go.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
In my opinion Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the best attractions at Magic Kingdom. When we are discussing what to Fastpass for our trips to Disney, we always try and make sure we ride Seven Dwarfs Mine train at least twice.
The queues are always so long, and for a two minute ride it seems silly to stand in line for so long. I love the theming about the ride, and I do have a soft spot for Grumpy.
Enchanted Tales With Belle
A lovely interactive story where guests get to play the part of the Beast, Maurice, Gaston, Knights and more. Abby has played a different part each time we have visited the attraction. It’s a great way to meet Belle as well (and rest your feet whilst you sit). I have covered the attraction in detail in a separate post.
Festival Of Fantasy Parade
The Festival Of Fantasy parade is my all time favourite parade. The floats are so bright and colourful, the characters always interact well, and there is such a catchy theme tune that stays in my head all the time. I love sitting on Main Street facing the castle and waiting for the floats to arrive.
Big Thunder Mountain
Having the two coasters in Magic Kingdom has seem me chatting about which I prefer in the past, however there is something special about Big Thunder Mountain that pulls me back time and time again. The roller coaster is slightly more uncomfortable than Seven Dwarfs Mine Train however there are great thrills, and riding it at night takes on it’s on special appearance of the castle lit up in the dark.
Mickey’s Philharmagic Show
Mickey’s Philharmagic show was a new to us attraction last year as we discovered it one morning in Magic Kingdom. We are kicking ourselves that we didn’t discover it sooner as we all enjoyed it so much. A 4D show with music, singing and characters. A great way to rest your feet, avoid the rain, or just sing a long and enjoy the show. It’s a firm favourite with us.
