Complete Guide To Magic Kingdom Rides And Attractions

How many of these great Magic Kingdom rides have you managed to enjoy? I don’t think I make any secret out of the fact that Magic Kingdom is my favourite Walt Disney World park. I love everything about it, the layout, theming, smells, attractions, even the size doesn’t put me off.

It’s home to my favourite snacks including the Dole Whip Float and Le Fou’s Brew, and it was also the park where we first met Mickey Mouse during our first holiday to Walt Disney World. We have so many favourite Magic Kingdom rides and attractions, let’s discover them in more detail.

Magic Kingdom Fantasyland Rides

Dumbo The Flying Elephant

You’ll find not one but two Dumbo The Flying Elephant rides in Magic Kingdom. This is the perfect feel good ride for the whole family as you board Dumbo and discover he can fly.

Whilst you’re waiting in the queue, there’s also an air conditioned children’s playground in the big top tent to entertain and take a rest.

Enchanted Tales With Belle

Enchanted Tales With Belle is a lovely interactive story where guests get to play the part of the Beast, Maurice, Gaston, Knights and more.

We have often played a different part each time we have visited the attraction. It’s a great way to meet Belle as well (and rest your feet whilst you sit)

It’s A Small World

Will the song now be stuck i your head all day? Board your boat and cruise along the Seven Seaways Waterway as you journey through 7 continents. The animatronic figures will entertain and sing to you on your journey.

Mickey’s Philharmagic Show

Mickey’s Philharmagic show was a new to us attraction last year as we discovered it one morning in Magic Kingdom. We are kicking ourselves that we didn’t discover it sooner as we all enjoyed it so much.

A 4D show with music, singing and characters. A great way to rest your feet, avoid the rain, or just sing a long and enjoy the show. It’s a firm favourite with us.

Peter Pan’s Flight

This is a popular ride in Magic Kingdom with queues staying constant through the day. As you board your flying ship on a tour across London, see how many of the Peter Pan characters you can spot.

Prince Charming Regal Carousel

The iconic and famous carousel ride is a must do on your visit to Magic Kingdom. Sit atop your carousel horse, or find a carriage and enjoy the views of Fantasyland as you tour around.

seven dwarfs mine train

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

In my opinion Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the best attractions at Magic Kingdom. When we are discussing what rides we must achieve, we always try and make sure we ride Seven Dwarfs Mine train at least twice.

I love the theming about the ride, and I do have a soft spot for Grumpy. The queues are often long for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and we would recommend riding during the fireworks, or first thing in the morning at rope drop.

The Barnstormer

If you’re looking for a great ride for preschoolers at Magic Kingdom, then The Barnstormer is a great introduction to roller coasters.

There are small drops and a height requirement of 89cm (35in) for this Magic Kingdom ride. Join the Great Goofini as he performs his famous arial stunt show.

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh

The perfect ride for toddlers in Magic Kingdom and indeed the whole family. The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh will take you on a journey through the Hundred Acre Wood spotting Pooh and all his friends.

Having the two coasters in Magic Kingdom has seem me chatting about which I prefer in the past. There is something special about Big Thunder Mountain that pulls me back time and time again.

The roller coaster is slightly more uncomfortable than Seven Dwarfs Mine Train however there are great thrills, and riding it at night takes on it’s on special appearance of the castle lit up in the dark.
