I’ve mentioned before on the blog how both Miss A and I like Sylvanian Families. I have blogged about what you may need to start a Sylvanian Family collection, and we have also reviewed the Corgi family before, as well as the Hot Dog Van and the Boutique. A new family to us recently has been the Sylvanian Families Friesian Cow family.
The Sylvanian cow family consists of Father Hornbull Buttercup, Mother Daisy Buttercup, Brother Paddock and Sister Annabell Buttercup. Such a sweet family surname with very fitting first names.

Father Hornbull likes his peace and quiet ( a little like me) and gets bad tempered if his thoughts are disrupted (also a little like me). Some children find him frightening which I don’t think is anything like me!
Mother Daisy on the other hand is quite nosy and likes to know what’s going on. Paddock and Annabel are very different in character traits as Paddock likes to run around everywhere, he can’t stand still for long, yet Annabell doesn’t like to rush anything. Even getting ready for school in the morning takes her hours.

Whilst Paddock and Annabell have the same features, Hornbull and Daisy are created very differently which makes the Friesian cow family stand out against the crowd by being very different in design. I really like the fact that this family have been designed like this.

Our Sylvanian Families collection hasn’t been geared up to hosting a family from the farmyard as yet, but after doing a little research, there is plenty you could add to your collection to host a Sylvanian Family farm.
The Highfields Barn would be a perfect home for the Friesian family with plenty of hay bales and equipment to keep the farmyard running smoothly. To make the barn a home, there is a cute accessory set with milk churns that of course the Friesian family would need to store all that milk before it goes off to be sold in the farm shop.

I think the Sylvanian families cows will fit in well with our other Sylvanian Family residents, however I think Horbull in particular will appreciate his own place to sleep rather than having to share with the Corgi’s and Chocolate Labrador families we already have.
Freya of course will get on with anyone and will welcome everyone into her home. It may well get a little cramped if Angus and Betty Buttercup (the grandparents) came to stay as well, especially as Angus like to walk a lot, he will definitely need space around the farm.
