I’ve talked before about starting a Sylvanian Families collection, and it can be difficult to choose which families and additional pieces to buy for your Sylvanian Families collections. It can be easy to get carried away as there are so many lovely additions to choose from.
We started with the Cosy Cottage Starter Home which was the perfect starter home for us as there are additional sets that can connect to the starter home. This not only saves space but it also helps to keep your Sylvanian Family community together.

We were recently sent the Boutique and the convertible car to review and as you can see the Boutique is one of the connecting pieces that will fit with the Cosy Cottage Starter Home. I knew Miss A would love the Boutique as it comes with a great range of accessories.
Over 30 pieces in fact. From handbags to shoes and tiaras it’s a little girl’s dream shop. Also included is the Persian Cat mother, which is a lovely change from having Freya rabbit again.
The boutique is a nice sized shop with the open roof if you choose to play with the set in its own, and it can also be played with from the rear of the shop or the front if you choose to play through the door.
Some of the fixtures in the shop are fitted such as the shelving for the bags or shoes, but the set also comes with additional pieces such as the mirror, the centre display cabinet, a dresser to display shoes, and also a mannequin to display an outfit.
There is a lot of detail to the boutique which I know Miss A really enjoyed. All of the pieces are compatible with the Sylvanian Family characters which makes the scope for play amazing. As with all of the Sylvanian Families sets we have come across so far, the boutique is really well made and worth every penny of its price tag.
Perhaps to get to the boutique, the families will need a car. This convertible car is a lovely vehicle for the Sylvanian Families range. Only seating two this wouldn’t be suitable for the children, however with such a growing community, I’m sure there would be no shortage of babysitters.
The car is a simple design but again very well made with some great detailing right down to the cup holders in the middle of the seats.
We didn’t have a vehicle in our collection before the convertible car, but there are a few to choose from including a seven seater van which larger collections would enjoy. Our community is growing slowly with new families moving in more frequently now.
With the addition of transport and also a new boutique I can see our community becoming even more popular to attract new families in the near future. I know the Fresian Cow family and the Corgi’s are very happy with the expansions happening. I’ve included my affiliate link below should you wish to purchase your own sets.

Ah reading this makes me sad as Katie has just decided to sell her Sylvanian collection. She had a very similar boutique and she loved playing with it. Infact she used to play with them lots, but all of a sudden has outgrown them (sob). I personally think you can never outgrow them x
