Are you planning on spending Halloween at Walt Disney World? The Disney World Halloween season in the Disney parks begins in August, so there’s plenty of time to visit the parks and enjoy the fantastic Halloween atmosphere. It is in fact one of the longest seasons of the year at Disney World.
You won’t see all the Disney parks decorated for Halloween as much as you do during the Christmas season. However Magic Kingdom hosts its very own party, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. If you’ve never been I highly recommend it.

Halloween At Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom really goes to town for the Halloween season. The park is decorated from head to toe with pumpkins and fall decorations. Main Street really is a special sight to see at Halloween.
Even before you walk into the Magic Kingdom park, there’s always a great display which is the perfect photo opportunity. Talking of photos, if you are attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party you will be able to access multiple different magic shots.
There is also a spectacular fireworks show during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Disney World really does know how to put on some great entertainment. I think Magic Kingdom Halloween decorations are one of my favourites of the whole year.
With Magic Kingdom dressed up for Halloween in August, you may be wondering when it’s the best time to visit? Historically Walt Disney World is the quietest during September. The last two weeks of August are quieter for UK guests as well.

During October you can expect the parks to get very busy. If you’re planning on visiting on 31st October, be prepared for large crowds. The Haunted Mansion ride is also a lot more popular during the Halloween season.
Halloween At Disney Springs
A visit to Disney Springs during the Halloween season is a must. Aside from all the Halloween themed merchandise you’ll be able to find in the World Of Disney store, there’s lots to tempt you.
You’ll find themed treats including pumpkin soft serve, Jack Skellington candy and much more. Limited time treats are available between September and October at selected locations around Disney Springs.
Are the Disney Villains your favourite? Halloween is where the Disney Villains can shine. You’ll find plenty more villains related merchandise in the Fall at Disney World.
Disney Springs is also known for its entertainment, so be on the lookout for some spooky entertainers as well.
Halloween At Hollywood Studios
Whilst you won’t find Hollywood Studios decorated for Halloween, there are still some fun seasonal additions to the park.
If you’re planning on dining at Hollywood & Vine, you can enjoy Minnie’s Halloween Dine. Hollywood & Vine change their theming through the year with the characters in seasonal costume. (Hollywood & Vine is also open for breakfast).
Around Hollywood Studios, you’ll also find select themed Halloween drinks and snacks at various restaurant locations. Why not also make your visit more spooky with a trip to the Tower of Terror.
Halloween At Disney Resorts
Don’t forget about the Disney resorts at Halloween either. Traditionally guests visiting Walt Disney World and staying at Fort Wilderness have been known to go all out with their decorations around Halloween and Christmas.
It’s worth a visit to Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort at Halloween just to see all the amazing decorations. Why not rent a golf buggy to drive around in.
