Eden Project

You can expect to spend around four hours exploring the indoor Biomes and the gardens at the Eden Project in Cornwall. The site covers around 30 acres.
Dogs are welcome at the Eden Project in the outside areas on a lead. You may just have to take turns visiting the Biomes. The seasonal outdoor gardens will likely change each time your visit, showing different colours and plants through the seasons.

Through the year there is also a wide variety of events, and if you’re an adventure thrill seeker, why not try the zip wire.
When visiting with your dog, you’ll also find an undercover dining area and water bowls are also provided.
Lost Gardens Of Heligan

There are over 200 acres of gardens to explore at Heligan, and the good news is they are very dog friendly. The magical gardens, woodland walks and farmland are bound to keep the whole family entertained.

Dogs on leads are welcome in both the Heligan Kitchen and The Steward’s House as well as all the outside paths. Dog waste bins are also provided around the gardens.

Tintagel Castle
Castle Rd, Tintagel, PL34 0HE
Tintagel Castle is owned by The English Heritage and is open every day until 6pm. If you book online, there is a 10% savings on the ticket price.
The castle is linked with the legend of King Arthur and offers plenty to do for the whole family. You’ll find Merlin’s cave and rock pools on the beach to explore. Parking for the castle is in the local village, but there are plenty of spaces.
Dogs are welcome everywhere at Tintagel Castle, but there are steep cliffs, so keep them on the lead at all times.
St Michael’s Mount
Marazion, Cornwall, TR17 OHS
Dogs are welcome in the harbour and village of St Michael’s Mount between 1st October and 31st March.
Access to St Michael’s Mount is either via a boat or walking the causeway. You will be notified when booking your ticket in advance which travel method you will need.
National Trust members can pre book their tickets for FREE but still need to book a ticket.
Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Gweek, Cornwall, TR12 6UG
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary rehabilitates grey seal pups from around the Cornish coastline. Learn about these magnificent mammals up close in person.
The Seal Sanctuary welcomes dogs, but they must be kept on leads. Dogs are not permitted to enter the Seal Hospital.
On site there is also a cafe, toilets and shop. Of course it’s not just seals you’ll find at the seal sanctuary. There are penguins, sea lions, beavers and small farm animals too.
Lappa Valley Steam Railway
St Newlyn East, Newquay, TR8 5LX
Across the 35 acres at Lappa Valley, you’ll find a boating lake, adventure golf course, plenty of outdoor adventures and an indoor multi level soft play area.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at Lappa Valley. The charge is £1 per dog and they are welcome on the Steam Railway, boats, Newlyn Downs Branch Line and numerous nature walks.
Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm
Penhallow, Truro, TR4 9LT
Standard entry to the Cyder Farm is FREE of charge. This includes access to the restaurant, farm animals, lower courtyard and visitor shop. Full access to the museums, tasting rooms does require a ticket.
Dogs on a lead are welcome at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm in all areas aside from the production halls and the jam kitchen.
Pendennis Castle
Castle Drive, Falmouth, TR11 4LP
Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII’s finest seaside fortresses. Family friendly activities at the castle includes a fun family trail, exhibition, and a soft play room. There’s also a cafe and toilets.
All dogs on a lead are welcome at Pendennis Castle including inside the buildings and around the grounds. There is also outside seating at the cafe.
Lanhydrock National Trust
Bodmin, PL30 4AB
If you’re visiting Lanhydrock with your dog, there’s plenty to keep both dog and owner entertained. Whilst dogs are not permitted into the house or formal gardens, there are over 1,000 acres of parkland and woodland to enjoy dog walks.
Dogs are also welcome in the courtyard cafe and the Park cafe too on leads.
