Christmas Events In Somerset
Bath On Ice
Dates: November 14th 2025 – January 4th 2026
Bath On Ice opens in November for the Christmas season. Located in Royal Victoria Park, skating is available all day until 10pm.
East Somerset Railway Santa Special
Dates: 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th December 2025
You will have a 30 minute ride on the Santa Special train, then cross the line to the North Pole Station where you can visit Santa and receive a gift.
There will be a Goody Bag for every child to take onto the train which will contain colouring sheets, crayons and a family Santa quiz sheet.
Christmas Carols At Montacute House
Dates: 29th November 2025 – 1st January 2026
If you’re visiting Montacute House this Winter, you will be able to hear the beautiful tones of Christmas carols.
A Country Christmas At Dunster Castle
Dates: 6th December 2025 – 4th January 2026
Don’t miss the Reindeer Service Station in the stables where Father Christmas’ reindeer will make a pit stop on Christmas Eve.
Those wanting to get outdoors after the festivities can blow off the cobwebs with the Nutcracker Trail around the garden from 26 December – 5 January.
Wookey Hole Winter Wonderland
Dates: open weekends from 22nd November and daily from 20th to 24th December 2025
Visiting Wookey Hole this Winter, you can be treated to the Winter Wonderland. The caves are list with over 100,000 lights which illuminate your way. The it’s on to visit Santa in his grotto, before the magical circus show.
Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park Christmas Experience
Dates: 29th & 30th November. 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th December 2025
Enjoy the amazing festive Santa show with the opportunity for a photo with Santa afterwards. Plus so much more.
Avon Valley Adventure Park also has Dinosaur Valley, a great dinosaur themed day out during the year.
Hestercombe Illuminate
Dates: 2025 TBC
Winter at Hestercombe will be bigger and brighter when visiting Illuminate. The trail takes you past spotlights and coloured paths drawing you up towards the Great Cascade, towards Sibyl’s Temple and back down past the Pear Pond and into the Formal Garden.

Bath Christmas Market
Dates: 27th November – 14th December 2025
Walk through a winter wonderland and soak up the festive atmosphere in the historic city of Bath.

Glastonbury Frost Fayre

At Glastonbury Frost Fayre on the last Saturday in November, you’ll have the chance to do your festive shopping. Father Christmas will be in attendance, along with live performances and the light switch on.
Bristol Christmas Market
Dates: 7th November – 23rd December 2025
Located in the very heart of Bristol City Centre, Bristol Christmas market is home to over 50 unique stalls, as well as entertainment from the likes of Santa and reindeer visits in December.
You can enjoy heated seating, delicious drinks and live music in the Jäger Barn Bar or you can even book one of the Igloos.

Grand Pier Santa’s Grotto
Dates: 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th – 24th December 2025
Visit Santa and his helpers at Grand Pier this December in Weston-super-mare. You’ll pass through Santa’s toy shop and along the festive trail to visit Santa. Be on the look out in case you spot a naughty elf!
