South West England Dinosaur Days Out

Be wowed with life sized animatronic dinosaurs and the gigantic indoor dinosaurus playzone. You can also visit the dinosaur museum which is home to real and replica fossils such as a nest of fossil eggs and dinosaur footprints.
The wildlife and dinosaur park is open between March and November each year.
The Dinosaur Museum, Dorchester

This was the first museum in Britain to be dedicated just to dinosaurs. You’ll discover the sounds and even smells of a T-Rex. There’s also real life fossils on display which include dinosaur heads and teeth.
The Dinosaur Museum in Dorset is also part of the Blue Peter badge attractions scheme offering FREE child entry with a paying adult when showing a Blue Peter badge.

Dinosaur Valley is included in day entry at Avon Valley and is located along the River Side Trail. Follow the self guided trail and complete the quest. There’s plenty of dinosaur themed activities when Dinosaur Valley is open to the public. Check the website for current dates through the year.
Flambards Jurassic Journey

Follow in the footsteps of dinosaur hunters at Flambards in Cornwall. This is a self led dinosaur experience. You can board the Dino Express and spot life size dinosaurs. Visit the Dino-Nursey & Hatchery to see the latest arrivals including a baby Velociraptor.

Lyme Regis Museum – Dinosaurland

A privately owned museum in Lyme Regis, the Dinosaurland museum is suitable for all ages. This fossil museum contains local marine fossils from the Jurassic period. There are more than 10,000 specimens on display. Aimed at children (and adults) aged 6+.
Torquay’s Dinosaur World

At Torquay’s Dinosaur World, there is a fun indoor interactive dinosaur exhibition. If you’re a dinosaur fan, you can take the chand to sit on a deadly dinosaur and take part in the explorer quiz.
There are plenty of both life sized and to scale models of dinosaurs to admire and learn about as you tour the exhibition.

South East England Dinosaur Days Out

Step back back in time and discover how the Victorian ‘Jurassic Park’ came to life. The dinosaurs section of the park is free to visit. The closest car park to the Dinosaurs is at the Penge entrance off Thicket Road. You’ll also find an information centre, public toilets and a cafe.
Dinosaur Isle

Dinosaur Isle on the Isle of Wight is a purpose built interactive museum. You can enjoy a walk back through time, from the Ice Age of the recent past, back to the Cretaceous period when dinosaurs lived.
In the dinosaur gallery, you’ll find real fossils, skeletal reconstructions, life sized fleshed re-constructions and two animatronic dinosaurs. The museum is open all year round with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Gulliver’s Dinosaur and Farm Park

You can explore the Lost World as you discover all your favourite dinosaurs. Perhaps you’ll spot the T-Rex or Giganotosaurus. There are a wide range of dinosaurs at Gullivers Dinosaur and Farm Park.
Natural History Museum, London

The Natural History Museum is open seven days a week year round between 10am and 5.50pm. Entry to the museum is free via a booked ticket system, but donations are welcomed to keep the museum running.
The Dinosaurs gallery is in the Blue Zone on the Ground Floor next to Hintze Hall. You can meet the roaring T. rex, see the skull of a Triceratops and wander among fossils in the Dinosaurs gallery.
For the true dinosaur fan, you can book a special tour with a dino expert before the museum opens to visitors. This is a chargeable event.

Port Lympne Dinosaur Forest

The UK’s larges outdoor dinosaur exhibition is at Port Lympne Safari Park and Nature reserve in Kent. Come face to face with life size dinosaurs including the T Rex, Stegosaurus, Pterodactyl and diplodocus!

ROARR Dinosaur Adventures

There are so many dinosaur activities to discover at ROARR in Norwich. If you’re feeling brave, take on the Predator! High ropes. Burn off some energy along the dinosaur trail as you hear and see things lurking in the trees. There’s even a huge brachiosaurus.
Make sure you leave time for Dippy’s Splash Zone, with slides, fountains, cannon shoots and a giant bucket. This is East Anglia’s biggest outdoor water park, and open seasonally through the year.
