Christmas Day has always been a big deal in our family. Everyone gets together for a day of good company, good food and lots of fun. Calories don’t count at Christmas, so why not take a look at some of the great offerings this Christmas with Hotel Chocolat.
Christmas Wreaths are traditionally hung on the front door, but why not enjoy a wreath made of chocolate this year instead. There are some amazing choices from Hotel Chocolat which include a selection box containing 40 chocolate to tempt you. Or perhaps a larger chocolate wreath would take your eye. I know the white chocolate large wreath studded with cranberries and pistachios is tempting me. Enough for ten people, it would be a stunning centrepiece on the Christmas table.
Do you have crackers on your table at Christmas? We do, there is one for everyone, but I do find that unless you spend a lot of money on crackers then the treats on offer inside are left on the table and end up in the bin. This year we are combatting this by having the Rather Large Chocolate Christmas Cracker. Filled with 12 paper hats, jokes and 40 chocolates which are individually wrapped, I don’t think these will be left on the table. The chocolates range from delights including a caramel penguin, dark chocolate Santa, treacle tart, mulled wine, billionaires shortbread and many more.
Q. Why does Santa go down the chimney on Christmas Eve?
A. Because it Soots him
Christmas Gifts For The Family
There is always someone in the family who I never know what to buy for. I will be honest and resort to food gifts when I get really stuck. Hotel Chocolat have some lovely ideas for gifts this Christmas if you’re struggling to think of what to buy for people. I have my eye on the All I Want For Christmas hamper. Full of fun ideas that are easy to share between a couple or a family unit.
I don’t know about you, but chocolate ALWAYS features in the stockings. I always like to look around for something fun and different that perhaps wouldn’t feature through the rest of the year. Something like Ho Ho Ho milk chocolate Santas as they are small enough to fit inside the stocking and they are also very festive.
Our Christmas tree doesn’t often have chocolate decorations on because of Lola, however to combat this, I have found a great idea in the form of Mini Christmas crackers. They are securely packaged in cardboard rather than being wrapped in foil, and can be placed with the tree as opposed to dangling from the branches. They would also make a lovely alternative to the large cracker mentioned above.
Not to leave the grown ups out, there are plenty of boozy gift ideas on offer ranging from chocolate and Gin, to the gift that caught my eye which is the chocolate and fizz collection. I do enjoy fizz every now and again!
There is just no excuse to be stuck for a Christmas gift idea ever again when enjoying Christmas with Hotel Chocolat.
