With so many great restaurants to choose from at Disney World, it can be difficult to decide which to visit. If you have fussy eaters, a buffet restaurant can be a great idea to please everyone. These are some of the best buffets at Disney World.
All the buffet restaurants mentioned here are one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Tusker House
Tusker House at Animal Kingdom is one of our favourite character restaurants at Disney World. The food is a great mix of African dishes as well as the more traditional food items.
You can expect to find a good selection of salads, cold meats, a carvery station serving a choice of hot meats, vegetables, salmon and so much more. The children’s section offers the standard fare of Mac and cheese, corn dogs, nuggets etc.
Breakfast at Tusker House offers breads, cereals, breakfast potatoes, meats, waffles, frittatas and more.
As Tusker House is also a character restaurant, here is a great place to see Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Pluto in their Safari outfits.
Chef Mickeys
For most little children, having Mickey Mouse arrive at your table in his chef’s outfit is a must see. To think Mickey Mouse himself has prepared all your food is quite magical.
Chef Mickey’s is the only place to see Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Goofy in their Chef outfits.
You can feast on breakfast items such as Mickey waffles, biscuits and gravy, meats, potatoes, fruit and cereals to name a few. If you’re dining later in the day then expect to find salads, salmon, meats, breads, soup, and plenty more.
Chef Mickey’s a bright and quite loud restaurant that encourages fun and interaction from the guests. You can find Chef Mickeys in the Contemporary Resort which is just a short walk or monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom.
Crystal Palace Restaurant
One of the best buffets at Disney World in my opinion is Crystal Palace. If you’re looking to enjoy a meal with Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger, then Crystal Palace is the place to go.
A huge restaurant along Main Street in Magic Kingdom, you are guaranteed fun and frolics in the 100 acre wood as you enjoy your buffet meal.
The food on offer consists of plenty of meats, salads, breads and plenty more. Breakfast at Crystal Palace offers pastries, eggs, pancakes, waffles, meats fruit and cereals to name a few options.
1900 Park Fare
If you’re looking for an excuse to visit the Grand Floridian Resort, then 1900 Park Fare is a great choice for a buffet restaurant at Disney World. You can enjoy a Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with the Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
Perhaps Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner is more your choice with a great chance to meet Cinderella, The Ugly Sisters, Prince Charming and Lady Tremaine.
Buffet choices on offer include lots of choice including meats, salads, the famous strawberry soup, mashed potatoes, chowder, pulled pork, shrimp, chicken wings, to name a few options on offer at dinner.
Hollywood and Vine
Hollywood and Vine is home to Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at lunch times and dinner. Depending on the season, you can meet characters dressed in seasonal wear. Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse and Pluto will arrive at your table dressed in their finest outfits according to the season.
Buffet options on offer at Hollywood and Vine include lots of fresh salads, meats and vegetables. The mashed potatoes are delicious and well worth a try.
If you’re thinking of dining at breakfast, then you will enjoy the Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine and meet character from Disney Jnr. Menu options include Mickey Waffles, pancakes and waffles, breakfast potatoes, fruits and pastries.
Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios also offers meals as part of the Fantasmic package which offers guests a dining ticket for the same evening’s show of Fantasmic in a reserved seating area.
Boma – Flavours Of Africa
If you’re looking for something a little bit different in a Disney buffet restaurant, then I recommend trying Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Serving dishes at dinner such as spicy Nigerian peanut soup, Cape Malay lamb stew, carrot ginger soup, seafood gumbo and plenty more. There are less exotic options to choose from as well if you’re not feeling very adventurous.
Biergarten
Biergarten can be found in the Germany Pavilion in Epcot. A meal and a show all in one is a great use of a table service credit on the Disney dining plan. You can enjoy a German buffet whilst listening to the band on stage.
In Biergarten you can expect to meet new friends as you are seated on long tables. Enjoy buffet items such as a carving station, chicken, salmon, bratwurst and so much more.
Cape May Cafe
Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort is a lovely character restaurant and a great place to see Minnie, Donald and the gang at Minnie’s Beach Bash breakfast
Enjoy your character breakfast buffet with items such as Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and much more.
Your dinner options in Cape May Cafe include cheese, pastas, vegetables, meats, salads, soups and more. Dinner isn’t a character meal at Cape May Cafe.
