I have written before in-depth sharing my tips when staying at Caribbean Beach Resort, however I wanted to share 5 reasons why I love Caribbean Beach Resort. I didn’t realise to begin with that when I think of Disney holidays, a big part of feeling “at home” is the Caribbean Beach resort.
When it dawned on me that the resort features every time I think about Disney, I realised that it is always going to hold a special place in my heart along with Magic Kingdom and everything else I love about Disney World.

Caribbean Beach Resort Scenery
Caribbean Beach Resort is themed around the Caribbean islands. The resort spans 1.2 miles around the central lake. There are palm trees, white beaches and amazing theming which fits perfectly into the resort.
You get a feeling of peace and calm when wandering around the perimeter of the lake, through sunny areas, areas covered in trees and sheltered from everywhere. It’s worth taking the time to just walk and take it all in.
This video shows Caribbean Beach resort before the construction started, but I have left it in as it shows off the amazing views that the resort has to offer.

Caribbean Beach Resort Size
Now some people may disagree with my love of the size of this resort, however with the five villages, the resort is one of the largest out of the moderate resorts. Despite this, I have never felt the resort was too large. If anything it means that you have some space.
As each village has its own pool, you have the choice of visiting the main pool which gets crowded through the day, or spending your time in the village pools which are so much quieter.
Old Port Royale is centrally located within the resort, and each village has access around the path or over the central bridge. We have stayed in Martinique and also Jamaica villages, and both were only a few minutes away from Old Port Royale.

Entertainment At Caribbean Beach Resort
I love the variety of entertainment that Caribbean Beach resort has to offer. There are obviously the pools, and also there is nightly showings of Disney films outside Old Port Royale. If the weather turns, then we have seen the films shown inside Old Port Royale Restaurant.

There is also marshmallow toasting on Martinique beach as well as other scheduled evening activities that are published at the resort. You can hire a surrey bike to see the resort if you want to save your legs, and the kids can take a pirate cruise across the lake as well. If you chose to spend a day at the resort, you wouldn’t be short of things to do.

Transport From Caribbean Beach Resort
If you’re not hiring a car in Disney then you’ll be relying on the Disney bus transport system. The main reason I love the transport system at Caribbean Beach resort is because there are multiple bus stops. One bus stop for each village and then one at Old Port Royale.
There are two entrances to Caribbean Beach resort, and we have noticed during two visits that the bus stop at Old Port Royale is the busiest in the mornings. The bus stop at Jamaica can sometimes be the first pick up, and also sometimes the first drop off back from the parks.
Martinique can also be the first collection depending on which park you are going to. We have never waited too long for a bus, and even if we are waiting we are sitting in the shade in Florida sunshine.
Caribbean Beach resort is also home to the Skyliner. With easy links to the Riviera Resort, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Caribbean Beach is a great option to stay at.

Rooms At Caribbean Beach Resort
Being a moderate resort, you can sleep five to a room. Personally with a family of five I would imagine this to be a little cramped with all your luggage but it’s certainly doable.
For a family of three or four then it’s perfect. With two queen beds and a pull down bed, each room also has a separate area with double sinks and then bath, shower and toilet.
There is fridge in the room along with a table and chairs. We have always found the rooms to be clean and tidy when we arrive with nothing as yet to ever have to complain about. Housekeeping arrives daily and re makes the bed and leaves fresh toiletries and towels.
Why not pin this for later.

We are staying at CBR for our first Florida trip this coming May, so nice to some lovely positive comments about it. We are really looking forward to watching the Disney movies outside port royale!
I hope you have a lovely time
