Visiting Disney World brings up lots of questions including where to stay. Should you stay at a Disney resort or do in a hotel near the parks. Here are some of the best hotels near Disney World as recommended by others.

Royale Parc Suites, Kissimmee

When we visited Disney World, we stayed off park at the Royale Parc Suites in Kissimmee, part of the IHG hotel chain. It was perfect for our family of five and proved excellent value for money.
We had a clean and spacious one bedroom apartment that comfortably slept five with two large double beds and a double sofa bed. The apartment had a living room area and a small kitchenette which was ideal for a self catering family travelling on a budget! Plus, it was fantastic to have somewhere to relax after the kids had gone to bed.
Breakfast was included in the price as was a popular, one hour of free beer at the bar each evening. There was a large, clean pool, a small games room and a very useful laundry.
We initially chose to stay at this hotel to utilise their free shuttle bus to the theme parks. The timetabled buses were never full and save us a lot of money when compared to taxi fares and rental cars.
The Gaylord Palm Resort and Convention Centre

The Gaylord Palm Resort and Convention Centre is more than a place to sleep in when travelling to Orlando, Florida. The resort is massive with an interior that contains lush landscaped gardens, water fountains and ponds.
Walking paths guide you to eight restaurants, multiple bars (one on a sailboat), nightly entertainment, cafes, and shopping as well as a wildlife area with alligators (courtesy of Gatorland), turtles, snakes and other creatures.
The massive complex sits underneath a glass roof, and the hotel rooms surrounding the complex come complete with balconies overlooking the atrium. There are two spacious outdoor pools, but my preference is to stay indoors and explore.
Located in Kissimmee within 10 minutes drive to the various Disney World theme parks the Gaylord Palm Resort is an excellent alternative if you wish to stay outside the theme parks.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

Visit the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress to see why it’s one of the best hotels near Disney World. Located near Disney Springs, the Hyatt Regency boasts extraordinary views of the Disney Parks, especially at night watching fireworks.
This massive resort has beautiful grotto-style pools with 12 waterfalls and swim-through caves, a children’s splash pad, jogging trail, tennis courts and its own private lake. I can’t begin to list all the amenities because there are so many. That’s why we are planning our second trip to this Hyatt in as many years – there is just so much to do!
Away from the hustle and bustle of International Drive, the Hyatt sits in the secluded, gated Grand Cypress golf complex. Kids can enjoy Camp Hyatt while you play a quick round of golf.
Know that you aren’t too far away from all the action, though, with Disney Springs being a quick 5-minute drive and 10-15 minutes for the rest of the parks.
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a tranquil getaway from everything Disney. It’s one of the best hotels near Disney for those looking to get away from the action.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista hotel is a popular choice when staying off site at Disney World as it’s one of the closest hotels near Disney Springs.
Amenities include an oasis aquatic pool playground, Disney character breakfasts, and possibly the main attraction is the ability to walk across to Disney Springs.
As of 2019, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista also offer guests Disney resort benefits such as extra magic hours to the parks.
Best Western Orlando Gateway
Address: 7299 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819
The Best Western Orlando is one of the hotels near Disney World with a shuttle service to the parks. Less than 10 miles away the hotel offers free wifi and flat screen TV’s.
Amenities in the hotel include a fitness centre, heated outdoor pool with hot tubs.
Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista

The Clarion Inn is just 2 miles away from Walt Disney World and offers a free shuttle service as part of your stay.
Hotel amenities include 2 seasonal heated pools, a buffet restaurant and free wifi throughout the hotel.
Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando

Rosen Inn is a popular choice for guests visiting Walt Disney World, but wanting some more budget accommodation. The hotel boasts free wifi and no resort fees to guests.
A shuttle to the Disney parks is available for a small fee, however the Rosen Inn is a popular choice when driving in Orlando.
