Disney World Florida 2014 Holiday Day 2 Magic Kingdom

Tuesday 22nd July 2014 – Disney World Florida Holiday Day 2

day 2 2014

We were all a little tired from adjusting to the time zones still this morning, but very excited to be going to Magic Kingdom for the first time. This was the park I was most looking forward to going to, and of course we had a lunch date with Cinderella.

As we neared the park on the resort bus, I was both desperate to see the castle in the distance, and at the same time I wanted to drink n the magic of seeing it for the first time as we walked down Main Street.

I did see the top tower as we approached and I’ll admit to feeling like a child for a few moments, but the real magic was when we entered the park and saw it up close.

We walked past the Town Theatre where Tinkerbell and talking Mickey Mouse were appearing first, and as the queues were short we decided to wait in line. I was completely excited to meet talking Mickey Mouse.

We spent a lot of the morning taking in the sights and exploring some of the park. We only touched on three areas of the park during today due to time and fast pass bookings. We managed to sneak in lots of photos with the Disney photographers this morning, and Miss A had a magic photo holding Tinkerbell in front of the castle.

Before long it was time for lunch and we were quite hot and bothered by this point. The castle dining room provided some welcome relief from the heat.

After lunch we set off to Fantasyland to explore some of the rides and decided to wait in line for Enchanted Tales With Belle. We didn’t really know what to expect but were all very surprised when both Miss A and Hubby were chosen to play a part. As they both had parts in the story, there were plenty of photo opportunities with Belle, and Miss A had some brilliant shots taken. Hubby also quite liked the fact he got his photo taken with Belle as well.

The storms managed to stay away today until just after we had returned to the resort around 5pm. We were lucky but when they arrived, they were set in for the evening, so we enjoyed a quiet evening relaxing. We had an early start the next day off site meeting some dolphins.

  1. Not something that remotely appeals to us, even my daughter lol! We took the children when they were younger and all I remember are the hideous queues and scarily expensive food and drink prices!

  8. Seeing the castle for the first time make me a little week too, we have a family tradition to skip down main street. I’m not sure how my 9 year old will feel about it this time, he might go teenage on us! I’m looking forward to the Belle story as have heard good things about it. Thanks
