Lola has been with us for almost a week now, and she has spent most of her days discovering the house and garden in between napping. We are spending a lot of time out in the garden because this is the only place she is allowed until all her jabs have been done.
With the sun shining a lot this week, we decided to get the paddling pool out yesterday to see what Lola thought of water. We had heard she loved water from the breeders, so I was looking forward to her reaction and seeing what happens when the puppy finds the garden for the first time.
We deliberately only have a small paddling pool this year as we are expecting Lola to put holes in it very quickly with her puppy teeth. Miss A was quite happy to share and combine her garden toys.
Something tells me she shouldn’t leave that water gun on the ground like that though!
Yep thought so!
There was lots of Miss A squirting at Lola and Lola lapping up the water like a personal drinks fountain. She didn’t seem so interested in the paddling pool as I thought she would, but it was funny to watch her reactions. It’s always a good idea to introduce dogs to water quickly so they aren’t afraid of it later when they’re bigger so a small area like is is a great idea to begin with.
Here’s her reaction to the pool.
