Every year we go to visit Father Christmas at the local Garden Centre. The visit isn’t just about seeing the big man himself, but also to pay a visit to see the reindeer that are in residence every December.
Comet and Jingle are friendly creatures and they usually come to the fence to say hello. Jingle has lost her antlers this year, and they were fastened to the fence for us all to have a look at. Female reindeer shed their antlers once a year and then they grow back. A little like teeth do. I didn’t know this, and neither did Miss A, so it was good to learn something at the same time as looking at these gorgeous animals.
As we walked through into Winter Wonderland (more on that in a different post), Miss A couldn’t resist putting her toy dog she brought to see Santa onto the fake reindeer’s back inside.
