January always brings the motivation to eat and drink healthier doesn’t it. After the indulgence of Christmas, all I ever seem to want is healthier food and drink.
I like drinking fruit juices, and have often thought about buying a juicer to do it myself. Until that day arrives, I was really pleased to say yes to trying some new fusion juices from V8
A blend of fruit and vegetables with no added sugar, artificial flavours, preservatives or colours, these juices come in two new flavours, Beetroot and Raspberry, and Passion Fruit, Mango and Carrot. In each 250ml glass you get two portions of your five a day which is always a bonus when I’m looking to improve my intake of food and drink.
I started with the beetroot and raspberry. I love both ingredients but when I poured my first glass, I wasn’t sure what it was going to taste like. My first impressions were raspberries that hit my taste buds. Miss A could only taste beetroot and she thought it was too strong for her, and Hubby said he could smell the beetroot before he had tasted it.
It’s bizarre how we all had differing opinions. I thought it was nice, and the carton didn’t last too long with me around.
Next was on to the Passion Fruit, Mango and Carrot. I can usually taste carrot quite strongly when it’s in a juice so I was expecting for it to over power my drink. I love passion fruit when we go out and I partake in cocktails, I can usually be seen having a passion fruit one.
The colour of this drink is quite dark in orange shades, but there is no hint of carrot to be tasted at all in this drink. To me the mango is the dominant flavour here. This is my favourite of the two, and one that I will definitely be purchasing again. Miss A wasn’t a fan of this one as she doesn’t like mango, but Hubby enjoyed the orange flavours.
