Having a tween in the house is challenging some of the time. I have noticed this year that perhaps gifts she may have received last year, would be perceived as “boring” or “babyish” this year. It’s scary how quickly a child changes between the ages of 8-10 years old. I have been looking around for some tween gifts under £10 to attempt a happy tween this year without breaking the bank.
I have learned very quickly this year that Abby loves browsing the makeup section in any shop we go into. Whilst I try to discourage her from wearing too much makeup, I am well aware that I am fighting a losing battle, so I so relent on some things.
Nail varnishes are a great small gift idea, and there are some lovely colours available at the moment. I try to steer her to brands that I use myself, products that I know last well, and aren’t going to stain nails.
She is also fascinated with unicorns and make up brushes as are a lot of tween girls at the moment. Find Me A Gift have a lovely unicorn makeup brush set for under £10 which will make a lovely gift idea.
To put this makeup in, I have selected a rose gold make up bag from Primark. Just a few pounds, and I know it’ll be a hit with Abby.
Moving away from makeup and onto accessories, I have selected a couple of fun style lamps to add to the gift pile this year. A funky pineapple light from Find Me a Gift and also a laughing emoji lamp from the Range. Both are inexpensive and fun to add to the gift pile.
Abby has always loved reading books and I think she always will which I am very happy about. If she’s not dancing, doing gymnastics, or on screens then she has her head in a book. Coupling screens and books together is this book with a difference. An interactive adventure book which I think will be a hit with Abby this year. Available from Amazon, this is a great gift idea with a difference.
