We have definitely been caught up in the loom band craze here and it shows no sign of stopping any time soon in our house.
Rainbow Braid offer 5400 loom bands on Amazon for £14.90. I think that’s a bargain price for the quantity you receive. They are really good quality that don’t break when stretched. Believe me these were put to the test as I attempted to make the Elsa doll for 7yo, and I REALLY struggled with maneuvering some of the bands across to where they should be.
We got a mix of 18 different colours in individual packs which was quite nice for keeping it all separate. There was a good mix of solid colours, glitters and fluorescents. What I did like was the individual packets having a seal to keep the bags closed when not using them. With a puppy in the house, we have to be very careful stray loom bands don’t fall on the floor, so packets are a good plus for us.
When 7yo had mastered the single fish tail bracelet, she moved onto the triple plait bracelet, and these appear to be her favourite at the moment. She hasn’t mastered using the loom board as quickly as I think she would like and gets a little frustrated with it, so prefers to use her fingers. She’s happy and then that means that Mummy has to create using the loom board.
I’ve been really impressed with this package of loom bands, and 7yo is very happy dipping in and out to create various different colour combinations.
Disclosure – we received the loom bands free of charge but all opinions are my own
