Miss A has recently been sent the Project MC2 Ultimate Spy Bag to review. She has a growing collection of Project MC2 including the Project
The concept behind Project MC2 is to showcase a love of S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths), and that it’s cool to be smart. The Project MC2 team are a group of girls who use their love of Science and spy skills to undertake missions for the top secret organisation NOV8 (Innovate). Netflix aired two seasons in 2016, with more planned for 2017.
Included in the Project MC2 Ultimate Spy Bag is a forensic finger printing kit, air blower, magnifying glass, torch, test tubes, secret messages and more. These are all disguised within the bag as other items. An example is the torch which is disguised as a nail polish bottle, and the magnifying glass is hidden within a make up compact.
The bag itself has a hard shell case that opens up to reveal its contents. It can be worn as a bag as part of the disguise. Inside the items are securely fastened to the shell by clips, and there are handy storage compartments at the bottom of the bag. From a parental perspective it’s well laid out with maximum storage to get the best value for money.
The Ultimate Spy Bag is suitable for children aged 6 and over. I think this is a fair assessment as the bag itself is fairly heavy for a small child, and I think that you would like the child to understand how to use the additions provided within the set. Miss A’s favourite parts are the nail polish torch and also the magnifying glass compact. It’s amazing how funny she thinks she is when using the compact to actually look over our shoulders at something.
Secret messages are always fun aren’t they when you’re kids. The lipstick acts as your message launcher, and there is paper provided to use. The only limitations with this set would be according to the child’s imagination. There is plenty of different options within the set to provide hours of play, and I also liked the fact that it doesn’t require more than one person to gain enjoyment from the set. However it can also be adapted to a group of children using it at the same time. More of our Project MC2 reviews include the Devon Puffy Paint Doll and the H20 Nail Science Kit,
