It’s June, and with June comes Fathers Day! Fathers Day is so close to Hubby’s birthday that I can often oversee the preparations as I’m thinking too far ahead. This year thanks to Hallmark
Our family like so many others is made up of children and step children. I know my eldest looks upon her step Dad as her Dad as he’s been there for the majority of her life. I also know that whilst she thinks upon him as her Dad, she wouldn’t want to buy a card with Dad on it. Hallmark at Tesco have got so much choice that Abby hasn’t been able to choose. She may have almost grown out of wanting to choose a card that has the word Daddy on, but she still likes to be known as his little girl.
Would you opt for the personalisation of Daddy, or Dad, or perhaps it is more acceptable in your family to choose a more neutral card. There is even a good selection for Step Dad. I was chatting to a friend the other day about Fathers Day and she was explaining to me how many cards she has to buy each year within her family. It’s a much bigger occasion than I think I have every given it credit, and it’s certainly opened my eyes to the possibilities out there for Fathers Day cards and gift ideas.
Abby usually likes to make her cards, but with such a big range she had great fun selecting just the right one for her Dad this year. We have compromised with the making as she can now personalise her Dad his very own t-shirt and gingerbread biscuits with the goodies we were sent to get creative with.
Why not pop to your local Tesco and check out the wide range of Hallmark Fathers Day cards they have available.
