I have been hearing a lot about No
When Anna is attacked on the beach, she finds herself defending her baby and reacting to her attacker. When the boy dies of his injuries resulting from Anna defending herself her life is never the same again. Twists and turns unfold quickly as you go through the book, and despite some initial support for Anna, her life is turned upside down in an instant.
A lot of events unfold through the book, a book which I appeared to read through with some speed. I was pulled into Anna’s life very quickly and was living it with her as she went through the few weeks that spanned the story line of the book. Did the past stay in the past? Is Anna really that innocent? What did happen all those years ago?
Like all good suspense novels, I am very good at trying to find the hidden meanings and the small sentences that may hint as to the ending, but despite me guessing to myself a couple of times I as truly shocked at the ending of this book which really did happen right in the last few pages.
There are so many questions through the plot that keep you reading just a few more pages in an attempt to find one answer, but no sooner has that happened than something else happens and you are wanting to find another answer. Tracy Buchanan is a great find for me as an author and I am looking forward to reading more from her.
