When Bakerross send us a new box of craft supplies, we always look forward to seeing what we can create. This time around, there are plenty of new spring
We started off making some simple yet effective key rings, which are available at £2.99 for four different kits. Everything is supplied with instructions, and as Miss A only has one Mum to make for 😉 we adapted the remaining kits and made key rings on different themes, and used the main charm for other crafts.
Miss A has recently been sewing at school and has been asking to do some sewing at home. Luck would have it that we received some simple felt birds to sew. Whilst we think these may be more Easter like than Mother’s Day, Miss A knows that her Nannie would like one of these hanging as a decoration in the window, so we adapted to turn into a Mother’s Day gift idea.
All the felt is pre cut with sewing holes, the thread, needles and beads are provided along with instructions. These come in a set of three for £3.75. This activity was a great task for concentrating and making sure the holes were lined up accurately, and that the bird wasn’t over or under stuffed. Miss A really enjoyed this activity. We found that the smaller felt decorations that are on double sided tape were a little tricky to remove but aside from this, we thought this was a great activity. We talked about having all three birds together to make some bunting, but this one is going to Nannie so we’ll adapt the other two in the set for a different outcome.
If there’s something Miss A likes to do it’s making cards. I wasn’t allowed to see the finished card here as she said it would spoil the surprise, but as we received some lovely pearl beads and flower stickers, Miss A wanted to make me a card. I’m sure I’ll forget all about it by the time Mothers Day arrives.
Disclosure – We received the craft supplies free of charge but all opinions are my own
