A picnic is such a great way to add value to your days out, especially when it saves the expense of eating out at your chosen destination. We have packed a lot into our Summer holidays this year including trips to the beach, park, river, a
On many of our trips out we have taken a picnic to snack on, or to enable us to stay out longer without breaking up the trip for food. If we choose to go to the river or the park, it means that Miss A can play whilst I can read a book if I’m on my own with her and we can reconvene when she gets hungry.
We were sent a Twister picnic rug at the beginning of the Summer holidays to enjoy our days out and we have certainly been taking it with us on our outings. With a waterproof backing, we can use it to sit on, and then when the mood takes Miss A she will come along and start spinning the spinner which is attached and having a game of Twister with me. It’s been great fun and we’ve been laughing along as we’ve been falling all over the place. I actually prefer Twister on a picnic rug now as I always find the plastic sheet of the original game slides about too much.
As a family when we’re packing a picnic, we all enjoy different foods. Miss A and Hubby are happy with sandwiches whereas I prefer eating snacks foods or salads. Being able to pack a salad in a proper pot that includes a knife and fork has been a real godsend. Sistema design some amazing packed lunch products and I have been enjoying taking my salads to work as well as on outings knowing that my foods aren’t getting soggy unnecessarily.
I don’t know about anyone else but we always seem to over pack food on a picnic. It never all gets eaten which is fine if it’s crisps and sealed cakes etc, but often if I fancy snacks it is vegetable sticks or mini sausages and they are more difficult to store to be able to bring home again. I think this is where Sistema products have transformed our picnics this Summer and I will definitely look into more of their range to make my life easier and hopefully save me some more money.
