I’ll admit I have never been to a Hotter shoe shop before. My mother in law works in a clothes shop that stocks Hotter shoes and she is always referring to older ladies buying them, so they had never come under my radar when I have been looking for new shoes. When Joanne from CharlieMoos mentioned that Hotter shoes were holding a #shoesietuesday event in my local Bournemouth store, I decided to have a look online to see what I might expect. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the styles of shoes and boots that were available on the website, and immediately I fell in love with the Hotter Belle boots (pictured below, top right and left image).
As soon as I walked into the store, I realised I may have been missing out for no reason all these years. Mel and the team at the store made us all feel very welcome as we tried on a variety of shoes and boots. I really was in shoe heaven, and I learnt so much about how shoes fit and don’t fit before Mel even began explaining about the history of Hotter shoes to us.
I did make a bee line for the Hotter Belle boots, but was a little disappointed when I tried them on to find them a little loose despite them being my size. But wait, they are all available in half sizes too, so within a few minutes I was presented with the boots half a size smaller. They fit perfectly. I honestly couldn’t believe it. Every pair of shoes and boots contain a secret #comfortconcept which features cushioning from air bubble filled soles, flexibility from special grooves that support your feet and not forgetting wiggle room.
I almost didn’t want to try any other shoes on, but when in a shoe shop! There was a moment when I deliberated between styles, all the pairs were so comfortable. The moment was decided for me when I had one of each style on at the same time and it became obvious that the Hotter Belle boots were for me. They fit so well around the legs as well as the feet. With plenty of expert advice from the staff, I was sold.
The #hotterbus made an appearance, and whilst we enjoyed some of the treats provided, Mel explained the history of Hotter. It’s amazing when you realise that since 2010, 60 new stores have opened. Hotter is also the biggest UK manufacturer making a pair of shoes every 20 seconds.
To be able to see the #comfortconcept in person as we looked at samples of the insides of shoes was an eye opener. You can see you’re buying quality that will last with a pair of Hotter shoes.
Bags, I didn’t realise Hotter sold bags as well! There were some lovely styles of bags on display and I fell in love with plenty of them. I may have to admit to treating myself to the one pictured above.
I can honestly say I am now a Hotter convert, and will definitely be a returning customer in the future. Have you had a Hotter moment?
Disclosure – I was gifted a pair of boots in return for visiting Hotter and talking about my experiences but all opinions are my own
