I’m not quite sure where July thinks it’s gone, but I can hardly believe we’re almost at the end of it already. I’ve been trying out some great products over the last few weeks that I can finally share with you now I’ve had a good chance to give them a go (and the sun started to shine).
The first is EVY Sun Mousse. A sun protection product from Sweden which is now available to buy in the UK. I was interested to try EVY as it’s marketed to be unlike other sun creams on the market as it absorbs into the skin rather than sitting on the top layer. I don’t like the greasy feel that I am left with after applying sun creams, so I was eager to test out a mousse which is a form of sun protection I haven’t tried before.

The mousse comes out of its can in a solid substance that is easily applied to the skin. I was really impressed at how quickly it did absorb and disappear into the skin, and even better there was no greasy feel to it. I have let Miss A use this recently as well as she can’t bear the sticky feeling either and she has opted for the mousse every time.
EVY sun mousse retails for £15.95 from Amazon
The next product I have been trying is Melissa Dream, Restful Sleep. July has been a busy month with lots going on such as end of term activities and Miss A leaving first school. I have had a lot to think about and organise to make sure we have been where we needed to be. If I don’t get a good night’s sleep then I’m never in a great mood the following day, so I have been trialling Melissa Dream, Restful Sleep from New Nordic which are supplements designed to help maintain a normal, restful sleep.
I wasn’t sure before I started taking these supplements as I don’t really like taking tablets, however after researching the ingredients and being happy with the list of vitamins and natural extracts I gave them a go.
I didn’t feel anything as such when taking a supplement, but I did always wake up feeling as though I had had a good night’s sleep with use ambien and that’s quite important to me. I don’t recall being restless through the night when I was taking them (something I often am), so for relaxing my mind and letting me drift off naturally, I was very pleased with the results.
Restful Sleep retails for £14.99 for 40 tablets from Holland and Barrett.
Staying with the New Nordic brand, I have also been trying Hair Volume supplements to support hair growth and volume. My hair doesn’t grow very fast and each time I go to the hair dressers, she comments on it and I only ever have half an inch or so cut off. After a while I start to wonder why I am keeping regular appointments at the hairdressers aside from keeping my hair healthy as she never takes very much off.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when taking these supplements, but again after reading the list of ingredients and being satisfied that the extracts would be fine, I gave them a go. Hair volume is designed to maintain a normal volumes hair growth from within as it activates the hair follicle cells.
I wasn’t sure they were doing anything but if proof is in the pudding as it were, I had to have an inch cut off during my last hair appointment as my hairdresser had noticed it was longer than normal.
Hair Volume retails for £19.99 for 30 tablets from Holland and Barrett.
The last product I am going to talk to you about is Fabulift Fabulous Eyes, a product to lift and firm the skin around the eyes and reduce fine lines. As I have been trialling skin care for the more mature lady, I was keen to see what Fabulist could do for me. I want to combat bags and lines around my eyes before they appear too obvious.
Fabulift Fabulous eyes comes in small ampoules whiter cute sizes and perfect for travelling. You only need a very small amount on each eye once a day so not having to open a large tube is a good idea.
I always seem to have one eye that looks more tired than the other. I’m not sure why that’s just how it is, but I can confirm that after applying Fabulift, I do notice the dark circles are faded. They’re not gone completely but I can see a difference.
Prevention for me in this case is definitely better than the cure, and I have been very happy with this product and will continue to use it. Fabulift Fabulous Eyes retails for £29.99 for 5x2ml ampoules from Ideal World.
