Wherever you live, there is always a hidden gem just around the corner waiting for you to discover it. We like to get out and about, and are very lucky to have wonderful places on our doorstep such as Durdle Door, Bournemouth Beach, Moors Valley and plenty more.
Whilst we have our favourite places to visit, we are always looking for new places to discover. Since our holiday last year, Miss A has been asking to go camping as she’s never experience sit before, so this is on our hit list to discover our first camping experience as a family.
We rely on talking to friends and family a lot to discus new places to visit, but I also resort to the internet to research places slightly further away, and hopefully discover areas that we can tell our friends about in the future.

When discovering new parts of the UK to visit and taking longer days out, the correct walking gear is essential to make sure you enjoy your day. So often we have had sore feet, been cold etc because we haven’t planned properly, so as we are more aware and a little more organised now, we have collected some of the relevant walking items over the years.
