Is it just me, or do you pack your suitcase at the end of holiday in a hurry? My clothes all tend to get thrown in and around everything so I forget what was clean and what wasn’t. This just makes my washing pile even higher when we get home, and I still haven’t learnt to pack properly at the end of a holiday.
I dread the washing, but we seem to have gotten into good habits by putting a load on almost as soon as we get home. This helps the pile not seem quite so big when we’re tired and all we want to do is sit down and recover from jet lag.
We’ve been testing out the Ecover brand during the last few weeks, a brand I have never used before, but who has been operating since 1979 with naturally inspired fragrances with promises to deliver a powerful clean whilst being tough on stains and kind to sensitive skin.
On a normal day, we tend to do one load of washing, but when returning from holiday the machine seems to be going almost non stop for the first few days. I am always a little concerned about the new clothes we bought for holiday not surviving the aftermath of sun lotion stains, or spilled holiday foods. I have to say we have been impressed with how Ecover non bio liquid detergent has fared against our clothes.
I’m not brand specific when it comes to washing detergents, but if they do the job they say they do then I leave them on a mental list in my mind for when it comes to replenishing the stock of detergents. Ecover is definitely a brand that has made it to that list after it’s sterling job over the last few weeks. The washing smells lovely, and has all come out clean which as a busy Mum is a win.
My top tips for beating the holiday washing is to tackle it as soon as possible, and weather permitting get it out on the line to save too much being hung up indoors in lieu of a tumble dryer.
