Miss A loves Ever After High, a series based around a boarding school in the Fairytale World for the children of all the fairytale characters. Whilst the children are destined to follow their parents heritages and keep their stories alive, it doesn’t always turn out like that. Raven Queen (daughter of the Evil Queen), doesn’t want to be evil like her mother, and Apple White (daughter of Snow White), wants to create her own destiny.
The school is based on two different camps, the Royals and the Rebels. The Royals are led by Apple White and the Rebels by Raven Queen.
Are you a Royal or a Rebel?
Miss A is definitely on The Royal side, and was very pleased to be offered the chance to meet Blondie Locks, the daughter of Goldilocks who has a positively perfect style.
Blondie Locks comes with her own handbag, an amazing dress with fantastic detail, flowing blonde hair, furry boots with keys for heels.
Each limb on the doll is fully poseable which encourages the interaction of imaginative play. Miss A has already asked for Dexter Charming so him and Blondie Locks can go dancing together!
Brushing Blondie Locks’ hair we realised that whilst it’s slightly acrylic Miss A needs to be careful not to knot it with the brush as it’s very fine and flyaway. The hair has two tones of yellow and gold intertwined into her which looks pretty when Miss A was styling the hair.
Blondie Locks is your average 30cm tall doll which makes her playable with the other dolls Miss A has. All dolls in the Ever After High series are suitable for children 6+ and retail at approx £19.99.
The price is standard to many character toys, and I find them to be good quality and come with plenty of quirky and original accessories which makes them good value for money.
Miss A doesn’t tend to play with dolls very often unless the doll is a character under her radar. She hasn’t put Blondie Locks down since receiving her last week, but it’s because she relates to a show her and her friends love. There’s definitely something to be said for merchandise surrounding TV and Internet shows.
Given the choice would you be a Royal or a Rebel?
