When 6yo had her birthday in June, she received a lot of craft kits for presents. We are still working our way through the boxes, but yesterday as the sun was shining, we decided it would be a good idea to get out in the garden and paint her suncatcher kit.
The reason we chose yesterday was because I could keep the mess outside, and also the sun would help dry the paints a lot quicker.
The kit had everything we needed to be able to create our glistening sun catcher, so I could almost leave 6yo to enjoy her own activity whilst I pottered about in the garden.
Towards the end, she asked for help as we were running out of some of the paint colours, so it was frustrating her a little bit. Happy to oblige, I love making things like this.
