It’s not often I feature our cat on the blog. Fidget has been with us for almost twelve years now, and was aptly named by one of my friends back then.
He’s more of a dog than a cat if you ask me, preferring to be around people, following me around the house when we’re in. When 6yo arrived, he wouldn’t talk to us for about a week. His nose was definitely put out of joint, but he soon came around to the idea of another person in the house and now he loves her as much as the rest of us.
He has his own character, and loves getting into funny positions. Often he’s found perching between the sofa and the footstool just to be near someone sitting on the sofa. He’ll squeeze in the middle of anything and make you move so he’s comfortable.
His favourite pose is definitely playing Peek A Boo
As fidget is a big part of our family, he deserves to have the limelight every now and again. Today I’m entering him into the Pet Pawtraits competition run by Animal Friends. I couldn’t decide on which portrait of Fidget with one of the family to use as our entry, but here it is. Hubby with Fidget happily taking over his lap. All cosy and warm.
