Getting Sporty With AKOA Sportswear

Miss A does a few after school activities including gymnastics and ballet. She also likes to play football with her cousins despite not really knowing much about how to play.

When Trutex got in touch and asked if we would like to trial some AKOA sportswear, Miss A was excited to choose from the ranges offered, and we knew it would come in very handy when she starts Tennis lessons after the Easter holidays.

We chose from a varied selection in a variety of styles and colours, Miss A’s favourite colour is blue so I knew this would be the strong theme of the outfit, but I do think the colour looks good on her.

We chose a Sector unisex polo shirt which is available in smaller sizes from age 5/6. A three button polo shirt, that fits well, not too tight in fit which allows freedom of movement when running around. The design fits well with the other pieces within the same range.

There was the choice of a skort instead of shorts, but Miss A insisted she wanted shorts, so we chose the Action shorts in Navy. They have an elasticated waist and fit well without being too long towards the knee, but long enough to provide warmth when the weather isn’t quite as warm.

To provide the warmth on the top half, we chose a micro fleece jumper which has a half zip and two pockets. The fleece is lovely and soft making the jumper a warm outer layer when needed.

To finish the outfit off, we chose the pro socks which are knee length, and Miss A immediately commented on the padded soles and heel area as she found them very comfortable.

From Miss A’s point of view, the kit was stylish and comfortable. In fact when she tried it all on it stayed on! It also got put on the next day despite her not doing any sport, but it proved she liked what she was wearing.

From a parental point of view, I was impressed with the quality of all the items we received. They have washed well on a 30 degree wash and have kept their shape.

I know we are going to get a lot of use out of this outfit, and will definitely look to replace as Miss A grows and does more sport at school.

Trutex also do a great selection of school uniform as well as sports wear.

Disclosure – we received the clothes free of charge but all opinions are our own

She looks great in that kit. We have to stick to school regulation kit, but luckily we have a good second hand uniform sale #TriedTested

This will be for out of school activities. Her in school uniform sports wear isn’t half as nice.

Miss A was a little bit like this, I had to remove it from her for washing.
