I can’t believe we’ve been working with Bakerross now for a whole year. We first experienced their Easter crafts box last year, and this years selection is just as good for any budding crafters out there.
I talked about these pretty birds in a recent post, but Miss A has discovered a love of sewing which I am encouraging, and she made another bird all by herself. This time she adapted the design by adding a googly eye that we had in our craft stash, and she went on to make a nest for her bird with pipe cleaners before adding a layer of Easter grass.
Included in our Easter themed crafts were some mosaic wands. Anything that has mosaic is a big hit for Miss A so she had great fun making some pretty wands for her friends at school. This kit couldn’t be simpler to make. The pre glued mosaic foam pieces are stuck onto the pre drawn squares on the foam shape, before the finished piece is placed onto a dowling stick and ribbons tied to it. This is a great activity for concentrating and fine motor skills.
I was very impressed with Miss A’s creativity skills when given a kit to complete which required not a lot of thinking, and she expanded on it and adapted into a whole new craft creation.
As always Bakerross have a wide variety of craft ideas and kits available. Last year we made little gift bags and popped some of the smaller crafts into the bags to give out as Easter gifts instead of chocolate. This went down so well last year, that I think we’ll be doing the same thing again this year with our Easter stash.
Disclosure – I received the craft supplies free of charge but all opinions are my own
